Hello readers! My name is Lauren. Welcome to my blog.
I am currently a children's librarian assistant for an urban based library in Pennsylvania. I have held that position for about a year. Additionally I am currently working on obtaining my Masters in Library Science from Clarion University. Although I am new to the world of librarianship, as someone who as a child would drag home tote bags bigger than I was full of books from the library, I feel like I may have finally found my true calling.
I started this blog for the mostly selfish purpose of keeping track of all the children's books I'm introduced to on a daily basis at work. But also as someone new to the field of librarianship I hope to add my voice to the conversation.
I am currently a member of the American Library Association, including the YALSA and the ALSC and the Pennsylvania Library Association.
